What type of hair do you use?
All of my wigs are made with 100% human hair. The hair is ethically sourced from Eastern Europe and Brazil, the hair I use has been willingly donated and our donors are given a fair and reasonable price for their hair.
How long will the wig last?
The longevity of your wig will depend on how well they are looked after, and how often you are wearing them. Wigs can last for years, but if you are wearing them daily, they can last anywhere between 9-18 months.
What sizes are your wigs?
My ready-to-ship pieces are made with Small, Medium and Large wig caps. I also make XS and XL on request.
Cap measurements can be found here.
Do I need to wear a wig cap?
Wig caps are optional, but they do help to keep your natural hair out of the way. They also act as a good base for those with little hair, as they prevent the wig from itching your scalp. Wig caps are a personal preference, I'd suggest wearing your hairpiece with one and without and see what suits you best.
Are your wigs coloured?
Yes, all of the hairpieces are individually custom coloured using professional hair colouring products.
As with any hair that is chemically treated, it will begin to fade and dull slightly over time. Click here to find out about my colour refresh service.
How should I store my wig?
Be gentle with your hairpiece and mindful of how you store it. There are plenty of wig stands/ block heads available online which are great for storing and handy for when you're styling at home too. If you haven't got a stand, not to worry! You can store your wig in the silk bag provided. Just be sure to brush it thoroughly before and after, to keep it from tangling.
What are bleached knots? And do you bleach the knots?
Each hair strand is hand-tied and knotted onto the lace. These knots can be noticeable if left unbleached. Bleaching knots is a way of camouflaging them and giving you seamless and natural result. All of my pieces have lightly bleached knots.
Knots can only be bleached so much before the integrity is compromised, so some pieces will still show darker knots than others, even after bleaching. This can easily be disguised and concealed with makeup concealer or a light highlighting or eye shadow powder.
Do I need to use glue or tape?
It's completely personal preference. All of my wigs can be worn glue-less. The adjustable straps at the back of the cap and a wig grip should be more than enough to keep your wig in place. But depending on the individual’s head shape, sometimes glue or tape is necessary/ preferred for extra security.
Do I need to cut my own lace? How do I do it?
Yes, I suggest going slow to start, and leave more lace than you think you need. You can always cut more off afterwards, slow and steady.
However, if you are too nervous to cut your own lace, I can do it upon request. But, that would make the wig FINAL SALE!
Can I change the parting on my wig?
Yes, you can change the parting to anywhere within the area of lace.
Do I need to put makeup on a lace top wig?
You don't have to, but many people like to. Your makeup matches your skin, so it helps to create a seamless transition from skin to lace.
